Can anyone remember the guy that painted a few loco (F7's?) that had the effect of polished high-lights on the bodies of the loco's. I seem to remember he made a tutorial or something to that effect that explained the method using gray scale and such. I searched the archives and came up empty-handed. I see a few loco's on 3DTrains or Train Artisan that have those paint effects. Any help to point me in the right direction would be appreciated.

RE: Who was that fellah....

I did find his post on the technique in the archives and I downloaded his file too. However I am still having problems on how he did it because I cannot "convert" the graphics portion of the tutorial. I can come very close, however it pixelates real bad in the sim to the point where it looks "blotchy". Looks good in PS6, once it is in the sim, looks like crap. I'll get it, sooner or later.Kip

RE: Who was that fellah....

It took me a couple of times through Rick's tutorial to get the hang of what he was saying. It really does make a difference and I'm working on improving the stuff I had done so far. Folks like Rick and the work his does and help he posts here in the forum are what makes the effort well worth it.
