Hi everyone:Well, it's not much in the way of mileage - about a half mile of work, but its a city mile - had to do more than trees. The Gainesville Diamond is a CSX/NS interchange - crossing in Gainesville, Georgia. Hope you like the pix - more in the Screenshot Forum. RE: Georgia/SC Route Progress

as a route builder I think that you have done a splendid job so far. Literally, you are on the right track.. The scenery, I know, took some time and it isn't uncommon to spend hours doing the city aspect and not have a mile, but, that's the hard part of building, please back up back up back up, your work is too good to spoil......looks excellent!

RE: Georgia/SC Route Progress

Thanks for the comment! You're right - some people say one pixel at a time - I do it one scene at a time - minus the software crashes and the rebuilds. I carry a laptop since I'm on the road all the time - and back-up to the home computer and then back onto the laptop - if (when) it crashes, I've only lost a few days work. It's the saving every ten minutes where I get into trouble!Still at it, though. Maybe it'll be released one day. I sure want to upload this thing for the Southern and NS fans.Mark

RE: Georgia/SC Route Progress

Hi Mark,Wow, does that look like Gainesville! Well not today. Gainesville and Rome had about 5 inches of rain yesterday. With all the big chicken houses in that part of Georgia, have you figured out how to put them in your route? Also, I didn't see any kudzu in any of your screenshots. Great work. Please hurry up!Bill Burnett

RE: Georgia/SC Route Progress

Hi Bill:Thanks to Ron's "SRV_RustyChickenBarn.s" I'll have plenty of chicken houses. Kudzu - you know better than to ask. Pictures attached. The first is chicken houses. The second is what happens when you turn your back on Kudzu.Mark

RE: Georgia/SC Route Progress

Looking great! It will be nice to have a Southern route. As for the kudzu, definitely leave it out. I am sure you would get plenty of e-mails complaining about it taking over peoples computers.
Keep up the good work!Mykel

RE: Georgia/SC Route Progress

Great job of the Midland crossing! Wish I could figure how to make those diamond sounds I recorded there work in TS. Anyway, your work is superb, Mark. Hope the videos helped....

Hi John:I was going to send you an email to let you know I'd done this part of town. I might reskin some of the buildings, but if I get bogged down I'll be in Gainesville simming forever. Maybe the sound forum can help. The Trainsim is getting more sophisticated with wheel squeal, etc - so who knows where we'll wind up!I would have stopped a long time ago had it not been for the videos. Thanks for the post.Mark
