Jan-07-02, 01:33 PM (EST) 1. "RE: The Island Of Sodor Route" LAST EDITED ON Jan-07-02 AT 01:35 PM (EST)I dunno about Knapford station, but I saw a real live old fashioned windmill somewhere, maybe Dick van den Hoven might know where it is. For kids, I don't think accuracy is as important as how much fun it is, check out this thread;http://www.train-sim.com/dcforum/DCForumID6/3003.htmlThat looks like it would be a lot of fun, plenty of bridges over/under. Plunging off a high bridge into the chasm below is what Thomas and friends do best, I never saw a single episode where something didn't crash or derail. I've tried to do an Island of Sodor several times, but I get bogged down with other things, and to me it's not important who actually makes Sodor Railways, it's just important that it gets made. So if you need any help, just give a shout, and I have a 12 year old Thomas fanatic that would be an ideal beta tester! You got a picture of Knapford somewhere? I might be able to find a default station that could be made to look close enough. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Jan-07-02, 08:10 PM (EST) 5. "RE: The Island Of Sodor Route" That's the one! There's another "windmill" object somewhere else, but those are the modern propellor things, that link goes to the real old fashioned type that you see in the opening credits. Here's a shot of one of the attempts I made to do Henry's Tunnel;Message Areas - "The Island Of Sodor Route" – image 2
I put a bunch of JPtunnels together for the stone walls, and a JP1singletunnel buried for the half-bricked up opening, but it's too thick. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
