Dec-29-01, 05:42 PM (EST) "The elusive Workman figure" The Workman figure has been mentioned occasionally, but I'll bet most of us haven't seen this shy fellow.I have not tried Jim Stevens'(?) Combined Ref file, but I wanted to take a look at the "Workman". I copied the workman.s and workman.sd files from the Global\Shapes folder to my route's Shapes folder and the workman.ace file from the Global\Textures folder to the route's Textures folder. I added the following lines to the route .REF file:Static (
Class ( Clutter )
Filename ( workman.s )
Align ( None )
Description ( Workman )
)And here he is:

MSTS Gothic. Now I need to find a pitchfork object, his wife looks like she's gonna take a hike if he don't get one. That's their son on the moped.Check this thread for the beta;

Dec-29-01, 10:44 PM (EST) 6. "RE: The elusive Workman figure" There ya go, Pat, instead of screwing around trying to get the ore ship working, make some Harleys! We really need more 3D people too, those three above are it, and the guy on the moped is actualy classified as a vehicle. Maybe we could make different textures for mister "Workman" (with the beard and the ragged crewcut he looks more like a bum, I call him "Hobo Ken") and Mrs. "Female Hiker" using the same shape files. From a passing train different colored clothes would look like different people instaed of "invasion of the clones". Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Dec-30-01, 03:39 PM (EST) 12. "RE: The elusive Workman figure" Now, maybe this is just me ... maybe it isn't ... maybe it is a question of too many hours with Delta Force, Operation Flashpoint, Rainbow Six, et al .... buuuut: This guy looks more like a Hitman than a Workman. Do we know anything about him?
Or maybe he is "Louie the Torch, From Cleveland"??Having spent many years in the Chicago area, one becomes aware that some people do not always play nice and share their toys. Bing

Dec-30-01, 08:16 AM (EST) 10. "RE: The elusive Workman figure" So thats who that dodgy looking guy is, the one I yelled at on the NEC. You see him, if he is inside a restricted speed zone.I should probably stop yelling at the MSTS people, I was yelling at some deer yesterday, telling them to get off the tracks or be served up in the dining car.Message Areas - "The elusive Workman figure" – image 4
