Dear ladies and gents,Anyone building routes and intending to use the new YTrack switches, please be aware.
There seems to be a (small) problem in the tsection file build 00023.
Versions of this file are included in both Jürgen Romanowski's own upload of YTracks, as well as in the latest upload of XTracks itself. However, there is a discrepency between these two versions of tsection.dat.Take, for instance, entry 31305.This reads in the Y-Track version :TrackShape ( 31305
Filename ( Y1t190-1-9_33mstrt.s )
NumPaths ( 1 )
SectionIdx ( 3 0 0 0 0 32653 32650 32653 )
)This same entry reads in the XTrack version : TrackShape ( 31305
Filename ( Y1tFit190-1-9s.s )
NumPaths ( 1 )
SectionIdx ( 1 0 0 0 0 32656 )
)I have allready mailed this problem to 'tsection', and I trust they will soon come with a corrected version.
In the meantime, take care when using the YTrack switches.I also want to use this opportunity to thank everyone involved with XTracks etc., for all the great work they are putting into it.
A special thanks to David Beach who is moving on to pastures new after taking care of tsection for two years.Well done lads - keep up the good work!Kind regards, Rob Roeterdink

RE: XTracks, YTracks and problems with tsection build 0

Rob !Y-TRACKS SWITCHES are in their infancy and only a few have been released as a taster and at this point in time should only be used for demonstration purposes and in Tracks Test Routes to practise with ! Work on them being in progress, making frequent changes to the TSection.dat necessary, is likely to cause confusion if used prematurely in serious Routes before the final release and the TSection.dat has been updated with all the changes. This however does not affect using the TSection.dat with other than Y-Tracks !

I may be putting the latest versions of them on my Web Site for Download but would like to remind you not to use their included TSections.dat for general use !O t t o

Build 00024 will include a significant revision to the Y-tracks entries. In the mean time make the modifications included with the Y-tracks package.David Beach.Palouse & LewistonXTracks, YTracks and problems with tsection build 00023 – image 2

Standardized \global\tsection.dat file now at build00023.

RE: XTracks, YTracks and problems with tsection build 0

Hello Rob,I must admit it was my fault to release the initial Y-tracks with some last minute changes. If you use the ytracks with their included version of tsection.dat you will have no problems.Regards Roman
