Hello everyone. I have a relatively good side shot of a CP Rail air dump (the original is bigger, 1360 x 770 pixels), and wanted to put it into MSTS by repainting an existing model.I know the Russians have many (2 different models)
http://www.trainsim.ru/index.php?mod=download&category=25&game=1
http://www.trainsim.ru/index.php?mod=download&category=25&page=2But they're not the type used here. So is there a model of a North American air dump car somewhere? I didn't find any in the file library...Thanks.

I believe the Sacramento Locomotive Works has a couple of airdumps...you can find them at the 3d trains forum...

Glad you found what you were looking for. I misunderstood the question... was going to suggest you try what I do that results in massive air dumps: Double burritos with lots of Pico de Guyo on top.Makes for good air dumps here.Andre MingVisit VSC's temporary web page at: http://www.vscalecreations.comVisit VSC's Forum at: http://www.3DTrains.comAny air dumps out there? – image 4

If there's one thing that can be added, it should be a ballast load in my opinion, since that's what they carry. I don't have a good shot of the actual ballast though...On another note, if this project goes well, an ATSF air dump will follow.

Roman,I have added a third Air Dump car, GNBC_552, this one with a ballast/gravel load. It is still low in polys as I did not change anything else. You can download it from the Gondola category section of the Elvas Tower File Library.http://elvastower.com/file_library/index.php?subcat=36George (wctrr)

>George (wctrr) Thanks a lot, I guess it's now a 3-pack I'm making. Been a bit busy lately, so will post progress when I finally get the ends.As for the numbering, its:CP 455127 - empty
CP 455122 - rocks
CP 455125 - gravelApparently this air dump has gotten some attention: http://www.train-sim.com/dcforum/DCForumID15/4658.html#14
