I know NALW's new EMD pack includes SD75,70M,70MAC,60M, 60.
Is there any another EMD engine? Such like SD90MAC, SD50~40....

RE: question about new NALW project

I think an SD50 has also been shown in screenshots.
SD40s are already a dime a dozen, so I don't really see the point of yet another model there...
An SD80MAC and SD90MAC would be nice, of course

BUT , Kyle Fawson from Sacremento Locomotive works is doing 80/90MACs so there would also be no point to NALW going through the trouble of making them .Shane Palus

RE: question about new NALW project

*SD40-2s* are a dime-a-dozen. There is only 1 SD40 model that I know of, and it's payware (MLT through SandPatch).

Clayton
Actually we do have a real freeware SD40(to paraphrase Montgomery Scott "No bloody dash two") here in the FL in GT and DW&P liveries(though we could use one with the various features,DB/non DB,nose light, etc)
And as far as payware IIRC Dekosoft has/had one as well.Gary S

RE: question about new NALW project

Yep, you got me on that one! I forgot about those GT/DW&P ones. I guess I was thinking the same thing you typed--IIRC, this one doesn't have DBs and it has other limitations so that the "general public" can't really use it for other skins. Deko may have had one, too, but I don't remember. At any rate, my point is still valid!

Wasn't trying invalidate your point just letting you know that if you were as desperate as I was for a standard 40 there is at least one to fill in till one with all those goodies alphable.Gary S

Well, if the SD40s in NALW's pack are Dash 1's then very good: we could really use some more freeware Dash 1, but if they are Dash 2's then why bother? We already have an excellent freeware SD40-2 model (the v1.2 TA model), which is also quite prototypical, and through the use of "alphable" parts, reconfigurable to many roads. It has been further enhanced by such releases as JL Chauvin's "plus" detail parts (added to model through freightanim tags), or the non-dynamic brake version (forget author).Jonathan Nikiforovs.

Carefull on the Dash useage.Conventional always uses no dash.Dash 1 is typically used for units that have some dash 2 features but not all. the GP15-1, GP19-1, SD19-1, and GP40-1 come to mind with they're Dash 2 electrical setups but older mechanical configuration. Dash 2 is of course for units with the full modular electrical cabnet and mechanical updates. Dash 3&4 is unoffical in terms of EMD useage, it is mainaly used by rebuilders to signify microprocessor control or other such modifications.

Well, I usually use "Dash 1" to avoid any confusion with a "Dash 2" (I've heard some people say "SD40", when they are referring to an SD40-2 and they know it's a Dash 2). Maybe I should start calling them "Dash 0"? Jonathan Nikiforovs.
