However just this once...But seen around the NALW erecting floor and on the Test loops are the following... (All you pirates warm up your planks! LOL!)AEM7/ALP44ALP46 in partnership with Mike Bartels (Mad Mike)
also a 3rd party (us) upgrade to Mike's EP2 Bipolar to install better physics, sounds and our Cab.... Mike is aware of this and so far has no objection to it... In fact we sent the cab to him some months ago and he liked it IIRC....U34CH
GM Megapak
Buzz' Amfleet Set
Buzz' Horizon Set
E60C
MP54v2 upgrade and expansion to our V1
PRR/PC/SEPTA Silverliner EMUs
NH/PC Washboard EMUs
NJT Pack including Comets (IIs for now)
Metra Pack including Bi-levelsVRE Pack Including RP39/40, F40, Maybe a F59, Mafaersa/Budd sincle level coaches, Kawasaki Bilevels, Gallery Cars, Bombardier BilevelsEP5v2 All NALW content this time.. We will be replacing Chris Longurst's excellent model/textures with one we grew ourselves.EP4 (NH Covered Wagon style Motor looks kinda like a little Joe)
I5 Shoreliner (NH Semi-streamlined 4-6-4)MN/CDOT/LI-RR M series in partnership with Stu Guberman and ACR and some help by members of the NEC track team!
Repackaging and upgrading the current Acela Express and HHP in partnership with Tolaris and Tom Cain to our (all of us) standards! Also Under internal discussion is a project to upgrade the Various Island Rails models (with the exception of the MP54) with better sounds, more accurate physics and Cabs (this would be on our own and have no Island Rails content - you would install our package on top of theirs and get NALW Sounds, Physics and Cabs)(FWIW, We offered it to them and they like what they have now - several of us don't and are using bits and pieces of NALW content right now)

Can't wait to see those NJT locos and the AEM-7 become released. Am I the only one in the train sim community who is waiting for the PRR E-44 electric to be released as well as the Virginian/NH/PC E-33 electric?Tim

GM Mega Pack, I've already reserved my d/l time with that.
I like the VRE, essecially the sound of that RP.
Are we going to see any CSX with that GM Mega Pack? Just wondering, no forced repaints.-Jeffrey

RE: Up coming Models

>Chuck,
>
>Is this the principle of "Anything you can do we can do
>better"? Naw Matt not really...
We have some 1st class talent in some very specialized areas like physics, sounds and Cabs that some of the smaller shops and individual proprietorships don't have easy access to. Since most of us like to "run trains" we are very focused on the operational end as opposed to the purely "visual" models that is the primary focus of some of these groups... We have those guys too, but being a very large group we have both kinds of modelers in abundance....
So we have seen some excellent visual models that we like to run but want to contribute our own "secret sauce" to improve them operationally ( at least to our tastes ).... We've done this before.. With CLW on the GG1s and PAs that was later followed up by a formal agreement and the DDA40 that Auran put out as freeware that was visually accurate but was a total joke when it came to operating it....Besides I have seen nothing by Kuju/MS that meets our standards, except for maybe a few freight cars but the physics are screwed on them too! RE: Up coming Models

Finally, AEM-7's. I wonder why MSTS decided to include a dummy E-60 instead of a dummy AEM-7? Is there gonna be a SEPTA AEM-7? I'd also like to see an MSTS version of SEPTA's lone ALP-44, 2308. 2308 was recieved in a damage settlement for the late delivery of the N-5 Norristown Line cars. I'm also thirlled that SEPTA MU's are coming out. I hope there will be all 3 types of Silverliners currently run by SEPTA (Budd II's, St. Louis Car Co III's, GE IV's). I live near a SEPTA rail line, and I'm glad that SEPTA equipment is coming! I've heard that SEPTA Comet cars are also coming soon. Once all those are released, I'll finally have REAL SEPTA equipment for MSTS. Wahoo!!

Nick is doing a/couple VLP N locomotive/s, They are his first model so he might be a little bit slow in doing it of course you would be when you just start off. All the Passengere Carriages on Yuri's site have been updated with ner brakes, physics & installer upgrade to make them better than they were before.

well as you know, the I-1SA has been released, up and comming, the K-4 is back in the works and about 80% done, we started work on the A-5s witch is a small 0-4-0 yard switcher, tom is working on some PRR unique rolling stock, and of corse our colaberation with the middle division will be on going. for you WWII fans, keep your eyes open for a "coal goes to war" pack and possible a PRR "troop train: pack, it all matters how swamped we feel.Oh BTW the K-4 will be avaible in 2 versions, first released will be the late version with the cast pilot, and a 2nd version will be released with the old "chicken coop" pilot. the first road number that will be released is 1361 of corse.Stay tuned!!

Is there any idea when the Metra pack will be released, or is it too early to tell at this point? And what kind of bilevel is the pack going to include, since Metra does have 5 different types of bilevel cars.

RE: Up coming Models

Dumb question. Just to let you know before someone crawls up and down you, it's generally not a good idea to ask for dates. The people who make the models we love dearly don't like to mess around, and we should have the common courtesy wait until they're happy with their product. (and SOME of you have very high standards, which is a good thing)

I wanna highball it through Woodstock, Ont. on none other than...THE TURBOTRAIN!!!
