:P Yeah but they looked even better at the head of a rake of stainless steel cars our bulldogs (NSW) looked good at either a rake of wood or steel passenger cars, shame we only ever get 16 true bulldogs, 6 43's (which were a type of bulldog) and 100 44's (which were a "type" of bulldog). Alas most of our true bulldogs are still alive, albeit not kicking. Projects

James have you by any chance re-programmed TSM to support the quality and production line you have going because at this stage I would have surely lost all patience with it.I have collected all the loco's you've produced but my version of tsm just says to me... "don't think you're going to produce anything like that while I have something to do with it"!

Well why the hell can you make great models in TSM, but Craig there can't make really great models in 3dmax or TSM (the 82 is as good or slightly better than your bulldogs - even if it is a box)?Projects

RE: Victorian I wagon now available

I thought I would trick TSM and see just what the problem with my 82 class was. I deleted all parts and made a simple cube 18x18x18 sections, about 3888 polygons and it would not convert however, with a lesser amout, around 2800 it would work. This proves somehow my version of TSM is screwed and all the work I've put into the 82 may not have been wasted. I will reinstall and see what happens, if not, it's bon voyage to TSM.Very strange though!Victorian I wagon now available – image 13

for me, it seems gmax's usual reaction is :you want me to do what? ok, but I'm leaving bits out and I'm not telling you which ones. No, you really don't need that wheel...or that side of your cab. Or that part of your boiler. Trust me, YOu'll never miss them.

RE: Victorian I wagon now available

James has already tried the TSM version 82 but got the same problem, and I thought it was my installation of TSM. It still is actually, I can no longer convert my existing models.I'm rebuilding the 82 in 3dmax but will be using gmax to convert it to .s as conv3ds also will not cooperate. So far the conversion of the new model is successful. Time will tell upon it's completion.Victorian I wagon now available – image 19

That's a clip with a rather soaked and rotten card or envelope on it. IIRC, it contained the wagon's destination. As for the other question, once I have the base wagon (in this case the I wagon), it's fairly easy to convert it into the other ones with the same basic design --Victorian Railfan Web Site:

CHEATER!!! Guess you weren't going to make the bulldog nose over and over again though. Speaking of bulldog noses, my 421 is starting to look like a bulldog, got approx. 1/5 of the nose itself on. Strange thing is, from dead front on it looks about as wide as a tank, meanwhile the number two end looks as wide as a 421! :S Must have something to do with how much nose I have on.Projects

Oh you should see what It did to me now. Tried exporting my camelback and the wheels went every which way, but the correct one. It was as if gmax said.hmm, I'm tired of operating realistically. Ooooo. new value, wonder what this button does? (press) BOOOM! hmm. wonder if he'll notice the changes?

I've noticed if you change (centre) the pivot point of a part in gmax or 3d max, then export it as a 3ds file and import into TSM, it will show the parts all over the place, like an exploded drawing. Perhaps MSTS does the same thing.Gmax now crashes when I try to convert the locomotive, but do you think it's going to tell me why? OH NO, that would be too easy. Maybe it's because I havn't pulled enough hair out yet and my mouse hasn't clocked up enough frequent flyer points.Victorian I wagon now available – image 28

Magic, you need to get your pivot points for the wheels set up right, then they'll spin effortlessly (hope I spelt that right) down the track in the right direction. Projects
