May-06-02, 01:14 PM (EDT) "60s Autoracks Release Info, Another Beta Request" Hi Folks,First off, I'd like to thank everyone who offered to beta test my 60s autoracks. I received a lot of good input, which helped in my changes.Barring any major problems, I will be releasing the autoracks this evening. In addition to the empty and loaded autoracks, I'm going to be releasing two additional versions - a semi-protected, empty rack and a loaded, protected rack. Here's a screenshot in TSM of the two new revisions:
So far, I have released them in the following roads:- CN
- Rock Island
- Rio Grande
- Erie Lackawana
- New York CentralI will also release a paint guide as well (Not that its really needed as the .TGA file is pretty self-explanatory). As usual, the .TSM file will be released with each model. Now for another request. I am finished work on the MP15AC switcher I built a couple of weeks ago. I need a few warm bodies to give it a spin and let me know if there are any problems with it before I release it publicly. If you would like to beta test this loco, please let me know.Thanks,Brian. "RE: 60s Autoracks Release Info, Another Beta Request" LAST EDITED ON May-06-02 AT 06:29 PM (EDT)LAST EDITED ON May-06-02 AT 06:11 PM (EDT)Hehe, Brian, I didn't know Chevrolet made that many Novas! I hope they all have 327's!Seriously, that is one Whale of a Fine Job on your autoracks. The ones I saw railfanning in the mid/late '70's in PA had family-style MoPars on them. BOR-ing. Y'know, the four-door ones, not the nifty my-kind-of-street-racer RoadRunners, GTXs, etc. which were waning... Excellent! Much needed rolling stock void - Filled! John Roth
Edit 1 + 2: Beta-test an MP15? Sure! LIRR had a gaggle of them...

May-07-02, 04:02 AM (EDT) 8. "RE: 60s Autoracks Release Info, Another Beta Request" BEAUTIFUL BRIAN!!! Are ya still doin' the Chargers?
I Seen TRAINLOADS of these for many years!!! When Belvidere produced the "Big cars" (Gran Fury, Royal Monaco, Imperial, Etc.) It was COOL!!! Plus, they switched over the the OMNI and HORIZON in 1978, and they still shipped these by open racks. If you look in the book "THE MILWAUKEE ROAD in color", you will see one of the trains with the Belvidere-produced autos in a rack in Washington state in the mountains. Gives me a special pride, as my father was working there at the time. (He retired from Chrysler in 1999.)Thanks for the hard work!!
