These are nice looking engines. My question is the Apache a real railroad? And where does it run? Thanks.Mike

RE: APACHE SD70Ms

Actually, there really IS an Apache Railway. The reporting mark is APA. It runs south from Holbrook, Arizona about 50 miles to a Paper Mill. It is noted for an all-Alco locomotive roster. Engines are painted into a medium green livery with a broad white body stripe. Back in the 1970's the Apache also had some Fairbanks-Morse locomotives and a red-white-and blue 'Bicentennial' paint livery.
There are several photos available at the George Elwood 'Fallen Flags' website. Incidentally, this photo was dated 2002, and I believe that the Alcos are still in service today.

RE: APACHE SD70Ms

Hi guys . The Apache SD70M's are my repaint of the MLT SP SD70M Danny Beck made . Apache is actually Apache Route , not to be confused with the Arizona Short Line Apache Rail . Apache Route is my own fictional route with a western theme . Sorry for confusing everyone wasn't my intent . I'm glad you all like them . Enjoy
