It looks like a great tool Rich. I'd love to get it but I really dislike Paypal with a passion. Are you considering some future alternatives to Paypal?Stew Clark

RE: Switchlist Generator is now available

3DTS had a Tehachapi developers edition many moons ago. The present Tehachapi is better known as Tehachapi II. Entirely different route than the developers version.Kip

RE: Switchlist Generator is now available

Yes, absolutely! But I had to start somewhere! The HMRR was the easiest for me to start with, because you can get from the main yard at Weehawken to all the industries using player-throwable (manual) switches, and there are no signals, giving the player the freedom needed to truly generate any sort of work order imaginable. And I didn't have to create any complicated paths with reverse points that can be tough to follow.I'll probably do the Erie or Lehigh Valley portion, perhaps the CNJ, next. So many great switching opportunities, so little time!Of course users of the Switch List Generator program can create their own templates and don't have to wait on me. Then again I'll admit if you're not already adept at creating activities using the MSTS Activity Editor, you won't find it very easy to create templates for the Switch List Generator either. If you (or other on this forum) have suggestions for other routes that you'd like to see Switch List Generator templates written for, please let me know! The best routes are those that have manual switches (the ones with the small "virtual switchstand" next to them).

RE: Switchlist Generator is now available

Right here at train-sim.com, to be sure! Also possibly my web site (if I get the domain registration worked out) and avsim.com.I'm posting the Newark and Jersey City HMRR template today. I understand it can take some time to post. I'm hoping other owners of the Switch List Generator will use it to create even more templates for even more routes! Thanks for your interest, keep 'em on the high iron!Steve Davis

RE: Switchlist Generator is now available

Rich is right! Canton has all manual switches which the player can operate, and no signals to give you grief, so for a program like SwitchList Generator that can come up with all sorts of pickups and set outs to complete, it's really an ideal route.I DO plan on doing some templates for Cajon Pass. It's got some good switching opportunities. Raton is a great route but more of a through train route and not a huge switching route, although there ARE spurs to switch. Thanks,Steve

RE: Switchlist Generator is now available

People get this program. It's fun to use. Plus the person who designed it,Steve Davis,is a great help. He even has the patience to help someone who really screwed up the install by himself (me!). Thanks again Steve.Mike

PayPal stinks!

Rich, I have tried to buy Canton, and now Switchlist Generator from your site, and both times when I have tried to register for PayPal it has given me error messages regarding credit card verification numbers and passwords.. I enter these time after time and still get the same errors. There is not even a field to enter a credit card ver. no. so I add it after the card number. Don't know what else to do. Do you? Thanks
Al-
