You Know You're Too Much Into BVE When… (Part 3) – image 1

Parts 1 & 2 can be found @ :
http://www.train-sim.com/dcforum/DCForumID17/475.htmlAgain, this is just for a good laugh, no offense though! You Know You're Too Much Into BVE When... (Part 3)41) You bang aganist the modem and shaking it non-stop whenever the Train-Sim.com BVE forum is down/inaccesible for some reason.42) You get 'exiled' for your BVE posts, and you post your intention of leaving the forum for good.43) You cheer and celebrate upon the departure of a member whom you dislike, and has got exiled from the forum.44) You return to the forum in a few weeks after (42), hoping for a second chance.45) An exiled BVE member returns to the forum, and you make sarcastic comments thinking he/she is bound to mess up the second chance.46) You think that this is the main (and maybe the only) BVE forum of the entire Internet.47) You set up a FreeWebs webpage on BVE, hoping someone would visit it.48) Create a BVE route for the sole purpose of joining the 2 mile challenge.49) You attempt to find programs/methods to reverse a route.50) Think of developing one when you find that currently there isn't any program developed for such purposes.51) You try to ask experienced members for routes where the author has left the community and the site is non-operational for download.52) Your inbox detect viruses, which spoof email addresses from members of the BVE community whom you regularly keep in touch with.53) Your site is so large, that you decide to ask for quality hosting such as Free-Hosting.org.uk or set up your own home-hosting.54) You decide to develop Night Panels Set for every train avaliable and release them.55) You are sceptical about an author's developments and think that they are probably one-hour-job. 56) You prefer to wait for a reply regarding permission of BVE materials for another few weeks instead of consider developing one yourself.57) You go to the extend to announce that you'll hold up the development of your works due to permissions, hoping that it attracts the attention of the copyright holder to give the 'Go Ahead'.58) You manage to squeeze BVE into computers of very early ages.59) You decide to develop a route which is part of the Central Line, not realizing that you are actually overlapping someone else's.60) You revive old topics from the Crotrainz BVE forum by posting a new thread at the Train-Sim.com BVE forum. (This is one!)

Well, I am guilty of:46: (I know it is not the only, but I suspect it is the busiest)48: Don't get me started... now I have so many routes and all but one are over two miles!49: Err, I think about this one a lot! it's good for idle thought while lying in bed before falling asleep or riding the bus! 50: This goes hand in hand with always thinking about 49... but I don't have the know-how or the time... or really the will!53: Actually I asked for my free-hosting before the site was even built... and I have a home-host too! 54: Never thought of it but it's a good idea for the trains on which there are night runs for.Tim Frost

RE: You Know You're Too Much Into BVE When... (Part 3)

63)You build a single b3d/csv object(for example a rural house) with more than 100 vertex!
64)Now you can't find the csv route file because there're a load of csv file(object file) with about the same size as the route file
65)When you're going to have a slope in the b3d/csv object whose the angle isn't 45/30/60 degress, you've decided to use a engineering calculator to work out the coordinate-and correct the number to 15 decimal places

67)When you're going to do a school computer project, which require you to do a 3d-model,you had finally decided to use b3d/csv to did the job
68)And you ran out of time so that you decided to hand in the b3d/csv object file in other's route as the final work.

69)And so unluckily that the teacher decided "your work" are the best and want to put it on the web,so you had to write a 1000 words sorry-letter to the real author of this work, and beg him to forgive if someone claim this is your work
70)You've done a back up of all object, route, train, and website related to BVE.(!!)

71)In order to regain the reputation of Route Builder you decided to build a grand route with a lot of detail and ask a pro art team to ensure it looks good,so that you could proof RB is not rubbish.
Edit:OK,I admit that 71 apply to me.
72)There are full of the draft of the designing of your next BVE object or route at the edge of the page of your books or the documents you are typing in the office.
73)You worked on turning a beatuiful house/train you've seen in a Christmas card you recieved 10 years ago into a BVE object
(Yes,the house I'm making are from a Christmas card I recieved 5 years ago)

in response to 63: when i first started building catenery for the east coast route, i decided to attempt to make a pair of overhead wires for 2 tracks, complete with posts, arms, return wires etc and a calculated sag. when i gave up, i was up to about 650 vertices per 75m. now i use a rather more sensible 200ish...

I kid you not...sitting driving a bve route last night(sandmill) whilst the girlfriend "prepared" supper I pressed delete to cancel the driver vigilance device......then realised that it was actually the smoke alarm in hallway next to our kitchen(overcooked oven chips).
