RE: UP #561

"I wasn't a UP fan when I started the UP Super Set project.
I am now."Know what you mean! It was Deko's UP Super Set that made me cave-in and pick up my first UP stuff! 2nd generation is cool anyway, and the paint/model work on the Deko UP units was just too good to pass up. Alas, most of the UP through my neck of the woods is now being pulled by the wide cab stuff. Andre Ming

"Alas, most of the UP through my neck of the woods is now being pulled by the wide cab stuff." I do get to see some UP units even here in South Florida. FEC has leased a bunch of SD 40-2s from UP.
Here is a nice picture site for UP lease units in South Florida. http://community.webshots.com/user/tcksb

I have been studying the methods you used on this repaint, Bryan. Very impressive Indeed. I especially Like the vertical, lightly transparent black door highlighting, It really brings them outBTW, Good to see Someone else using the bevel and emboss effect on the doors, I been doing that since day 2 of repainting, Makes it so much easier dont it?

RE: UP #561

Hi
I can't take credit for those 2 features. They are part of the dekosoft templates created by Chip & Nalle. I do use bevel and emboss to make 2D features look 3D. I have been using a lot of Photoshop filters to emulate paint wear as well.Later
