For the protection of your yards, crossings, ans switches, there was generally an elevated Tower for the employees.
Tomorrow, or the next day, a Watch Tower, based on a D&H standard design will be in the Library. It includes Summer and Winter textures, and see-through windows.
If you would like to weather it, then see the photo by Wayne Campbell about two or three posts below.

RE: Watch Tower

Thank you both for the nice comments, and the photo.
As to weathering, Wayne Campbell did a short tutorial, using this particular Watch Tower as a subject. It can be found at this site:http://www.elvastower.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=136and a photo showing the Tower as weathered is here:http://www.train-sim.com/dcforum/DCForumID12/423.htmlSo, if you would like to try to do so, now you have the instructions.
Paul.

Absolutely marvelous photography.
I am going to upload a variation tonight. The main difference is in the foundation, which is much narrower. This will allow you to move it closer to the track, on any other scenery items.
