Hey all. Now, I know this has answered before but do you think I can dig up the answer now??? That'd just be too easy. Check out this pic ... What's wrong with this cabview – image 1Can anybody tell me what is causing the lines and blurriness around the animated controls??I am running an ATI Radeon 9800 Pro, 1280x1024, 6x AA, 16x AF, High Quality Texture, High Quality MipMap Detail Level. I've tried adjusting everything, but no luck. Thanks in advance.

RE: What's wrong with this cabview ...

Hi NoMoreTrains hm, reminds me of similar problems I had after installing either a Windows XT service pack or some new drivers...- try the MSTS tool for trouble shooting in your ../start menu/microsoft games/train simulator. It has a box to check in case of visible lines in cabviews. - if that doesn't help, try playing around with the hardware acceleration settings (worked with me, I had to reduce it one notch and then reset it to max, and after the second or third attempt coupled with the above trouble shooting option checked the lines were gone).Hope that helps,Lukas a.k.a Swissie

using the trouble shooter will not work, because AA if being forced on the driver Level, The solution is to Turn Off AA at the radeon DirectHex control panel OR Live with it, Personally, I leave it on, as i've grown to ignore the lines, The sim looks like garbage without anisotropic or AA (well in my eyes at least)____________________________________________

I get those lines if I use AA or AF too. I just don't use AA and AF then. My gf2 isn't a prime candidate anyway, the real puller in my system is the P4.

Although I can't think of what it is at the moment, there is a command line switch that doesn't antialias the cabview. For some reason, there are certain vid card/driver combos that freak out when antialiasing the cab.Give it a try and see if it fixes the problem. You can find a list of command line switches on the official MSTS site.-Jeff

I would say that looks to me like a TS option setting; either world object texture or train object texture quality. Play with those and see if that helps...
