Hi guys.Recently, I've been playing Trainz alot. I have downloaded routes like Tehachapi, MRL demo, Camas Prarie and more. I have it on my small C drive, and would like to move it to my E or F which are huge and empty Now, is there a way to move content I have installed over there when I install the game there? Since it would be a major PITA to redownload it again..And when I go to install content will the .cdp's detect Trainz is on the other drive? or will I have to tell the cdp trainz is on the F drive? Thanks! And here are 2 shots I've taken recently. A CP GP9 in the mountains. And a cabride on a CN local.
Before you reinstall, just make a copy of your C:\program files\Auran\TRS2004\World\Dispatcher folder. Move it to your Desktop or somewhere else not in the \Auran folder. Now uninstall TRS2004, and reinstall it on the new hard drive. Just place the Dispatcher folder in the World folder of the new installation.Content Dispatcher and Trainz Helper will automatically install to the new location.Note: Moving the Dispatcher folder, especially with all of the content it sounds like you have, may take a long time.(up to a half hour)
Great, Thanks alot Stetrain12. I'm glad it can be done. I look at it this way, moving the content is alot faster then redownloading it all Thanks again.
