Hello All, I just down loaded the UTC demo( I know, don't laugh)and I reeally know nothing about trainz. I have been on MSTS since its release but I'm leaning to the TRAINZ side of things when it comes to which new version I'll be buying due mainly to the industries in railroadsim 2004. Now for the Question. I like big road power. For those of you that don't know, I'm an engineer for CSX and thats why. So...When you download an add-on loco, say an CW44-AC or the like are the sounds specific to it? Because if they are, and are as dead on as the ones for the locos included in UTC, I'm in! Some of the 3rd parties have come close to it in MSTS but just cant quite get it. After a while you can pick up on the loop and thats anoying on a long run in the same notch. Hell, I don't know, is there already a GE included in the full version? How does it sound?
Thanks so much

Cheers,
Randy

I think there is a Dash 9 in the full version but I am not sure of that, or how it sounds. Auran is also promising accurate and better sounds in TRS2004, and they have made good on most of their claims for UTC it seems so I am expecting no less for TRS2004.Tim Frost

RE: TRAINZ sounds for add-ons

The Dash 9's that I have seen in the latest version do not have a cabview. Some say the sounds are better in Trainz.

RE: TRAINZ sounds for add-ons

No Dash 9's come with UTC but you can download one by NorthfolkSouthern it doesn't have a cab view, but I use a default one. Also Digitalroundhouse.com have a couple of Dash9's which they have built and have custom sounds. As for Authenticity I cannot judge as I am aussie and we don't have any dash 9's in this country. As Far as Trainz Railroad Simulator they might have them included as standard, but this hasn't been announced or confirmed yet. They will be including the Up dd40x which will have a custom cab view.RegardsAXE

I am wondering something about that demo. Where do you get it? I have not been able to find it.
