I created a route in Surveyor and placed a Trackmark on the track with sufficient room to hold a consist. Then, in Driver, I selected the Trackmark and associated it with a consist. However, when I try to operate the trains, I get the error message: "No Trackmark Selected".Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong? (Sorry if this is a dumb question; I am new to Trainz).
Go into surveyor mode and select your route. go to the spot you want to start your trainset. select the track tools-there are three tabs at the top-track-track accessories and track mark. Press the track marker button and place a red triangle on the track where you want to start the consist. if it is facing the wrong way select rotate button and click on the triangle. Then exit and go to driver mode. Select the route you placed the track marker and go to the place where the marker is on the map. select the consist you want to run and then just click on the triangle and you will see the consist number there, 0, 1, 2, 3 etc. Now the train will run.
If you only have placed one track mark in surveyor make sure you only place 1 consist on the line. Your first consist should be 0, so click on the track mark and a zero should appear on the layout map.If you have other consists ready to go in driver you must have a track mark for each of them.To make sure you consist isn't to big for the rail, just start with one loco.I hope that helpsRegardsAXE
I wish their was a way that you can have more then 1 consist, but yet only have 1 consist to play with and the game will ignore the others so you can test your new track without "traffic".
If you have UTC, you can save presets. that means you could have 1 consits to test with and then load up another few consists when you want extra traffic. Or make up a small yard to store your consists in RegardsAXE
