Is it possible to alter or reskin the default files-espectially the traffic files-It doesn't look right to have vans and such in a 1900's route. Also the people included with it could be repainted to look more like victorian people. Any help available would be greatly appreciated, like a tutorial somewhere that might enlightem me on some of these subjects.
Well, Tark . . .I'll soon be joining you having ordered Trainz which will be here mid-week, I hope. You are a good and respectable MSTS purveyor of static goods. I hope the Trainz community welcomes you with open arms for they will not be sorry. Mike
OH .. Didnt read the first post properly did I I dint realise you wished to paint existing objects.Aurans Objects are all locked away now so getting the 'people and car' files for repainting.. Cant be done There are some Horses n Coach sets on Aurans download station that have .. Well.. more Victorian look to them than Aurans people Vulcan is one name to search for for some old west stuff (Auran download station)Have fun..Catchya
Thank you very much again, I am going to have to make my own people I guess. I did it in MSTS but I haven't as yet got into max. Also I will post some shots of my Southern Pacific narrow guage route from keeler CA. to Virginia City NV. I am moving pretty fast with it. I like the way Trainz handles Landscape. I have had to reskin some of the ground textures. It seems that most of the textures were taken with a digital camera at an oblique angle rather than straight on and look a little strange. I have many textures that I can reskin them with. Will post a screen shot or two in a day or so.
