Well, took a train into Penn Station this past week and what a suprise. It seems the Chicago South Shore & South Bend Railroad loaned some of it's new Interburban Commuter Coaches to New Jersey Transit for increased ridership.Got some great pictures of them, as well as the Empire Service Train on the platform next to our train when we pulled into Penn. Went up to One Penn Plaza to the 48th Floor and got a great shot of them in the staging area also.Metro-North also got in on the action testing these cars from Grand Central to Tarrytown. Got some shots of the test train coming out from under Park Avenue and at the 125th Street Station.Took a train out of town that night and low and behold my NJT Trains used the CSS&SB cars, next to us was an Acela waiting to leave.

In a much better time and place.Downtown Manhattan viewed from the PATH Tracks just before their descent underground in Jersey City, NJ.More work needs to be done to make this scene perfect. But I thought I would post it in the meantime to show the progress I've been making on NYC in a better time.

RE: A Railfanning Surprise Trip to NYC

The project is basically done. Except for some work on the New York Central's West Shore line between Piermont, NY and Haverstraw, NY.That, and there are a few pieces of custom content waiting to be finished before I can release it to beta testers. Such as Yankee Stadium and the World Trade Center.Once those are completed, the time for release will be soon.
