GET IT!!! It will be the best software you ever spent money for!! At ftrst I was skeptical as to what was going to change, but when I installed it and ran it, it is totally awesome. Interface re-design, you get Paint Shed with it, Multiple Cab-View locations, a very good looking TGV train-set (i have teh msts one, and i like the Trainz one better), the GG1(i know msts has this also, but trainz version is too good not to mention). Plus you get 3 free months to the "First Class Ticket" when you register at Planet Auran, which gives you better download speeds off of their file servers. UTC includes a browser for looking at the newsletter, entitled "Trainz eXchange". It's features include: Exclusive content (such as the Krokodile), communtiy reviews, and various other things. There is also a demo, which you can get at http://www.strategyfirst.com/en/ , http://www.avault.com/pcrl/dlhttp.asp?url=www.strategyfirst.ca/downloads/demos/UTC_Demo_405.zip&game=trainz , and Fileplanet (www.fileplanet.com)I hope you like my little review!!!
(I didnt intend to make it a review when i started typing it, but it turned into one.)

So, Danny, does this mean you'll be leaving the world of MSTS and converting your VR to a Trainz format?

I have decided to keep MSTS on my computer simply for the fact of my VRR. At the time I was writing it, I was so amazed at it. But then I realized that I have to keep it on for my VRR. So, It will stay on my hard drive. (Isnt a VRR on Trainz sorta hard??)

I'd say it might be easier...
You build a route for that VRR, then paint rolling stock in the RR's scheme using paint shed then upload it and make activitys for it. switch cars in, hot intermodal's ,coal drags etc.Last time i bought trainz i wasn't impressed and wasted 75$cdn after all the taxes. IF UTC was a free download to those who own Trainz i *might* download it and reinstall Trainz

While it isn't free, you do get a discount as a previous owner of Trainz. Not sure how long that will last or if it is even still available though.

I think it might be easier actually. Especially on the equipment side of things.I've not looked at the scenario scripting language to figure that out so I'm not sure how much would be involved. There are plenty of routes available, and route development is definitely much easier than with MSTS.
