Can anyone tell me if they ever got around to including steam trains with the original package or do you have to buy addon packs. Or do you have downloads for them like MSTS does. One of the reasons I have held off buying trainz is because of the lack of steam. tark1054
Tark.... Well If you visited www.auran.com/trainz/forum once in a while then this is what you would have found. If you also do a search headed Steam then you will find something.A4 Pacific Mallard (GB) Baltic Steam Engine (GB)Some UP american Steam Engine (Sorry cant remember the name of it and its damn good)Also several other great Steam locos post SP3 All as 3rd Party downloads. Pre SP3 Steam locos include a good version of the Flying ScotsmanAuran have yet to include Steam Trains in any pack. I am not sure they even will. But with the vast amount of 3rd party creators out there I am sure it wont be to long before any type of Steam loco is available. If this is your only reason in not buying Trainz then I have to say you are making a mistake but its your own decision.Hentis
The Big Boy for Trainz was released yesterday. Although it is payware, it is a very reasonable price. The sounds, detail, everything is incredible.Have a look:
Stop posting those screenies of the Big Boy !!!!! Or I will have to purchase it myself..... ...ok post some more Do you think you could brighten the images a bit so I could see the detail in the engine ? RegardsAXE
Here's one more, I just like the tall skyscraper in the background, that's why I wanted to post it. The Big Boy really looks unusual in a big city environment.Dave
