I just received my Service Pack 3 CD, but am a bit confused by all the info on the different versions, and how I should Install it. I have the Trainz updates through and including 1.1.2 Do I need to download V1.3 before I install the SP3 CD or do I just install the CD over the existing versions and it will be up to date? Do I have to delete anything before installing the SP3 CD? Thanks in advance, Ron Zukoski, Deland, FL

RE: Trainz SP3 Service Pack CD.

OK Georgi, I have 277 installed OK.. I get a msg saying I need to update the UP F7 from Content update. I think that was the custom Union Pacific F7 and I think the CP cars.I guess I have to go there and see what's there. Thanks, Ron

All you can do is wait for the Author to update the content, or edit files yourself but you need to know how they work.
For now, go to download station and there are over 900 objects aviable and about 100 are added daily.
Not that "Painshed Skin" marked items requres you to own PaintShed to be able to use them.

You need to register to use download station - which is for security purposes - and that means you need serail # at back of the case to register.Georgi

RE: Trainz SP3 Service Pack CD.

Thanks Georgi, you have been very helpful in clarifying a lot of this. It was a bit confusing at first. I have gotten things from download station in the past, as I have been registered with Auran..It has changed a lot though since I used it last. I probably won't try to do too many things until I get a bit more used to it. I enjoyed Trainz up through the 1.1.2 that I had, and I think I will explore what all is on the V1.3 (SP3) before I get too carried away. I do get the newsletter so I get info as it is released. I am pooped out for this night, so I am gonna get some shut eye, gotta get to work early tomorrow morning.Thank You again. Ron, Deland, FL

RE: Trainz SP3 Service Pack CD.

Im glad that I was able to help.
When you download from download station, make sure you download items that have been marked "SP3 Content".
Also, I will recomend you to download the new Acela. Go to download section, in search select SP3 Content, and from drop down menu
select "KUID" then search for "9:" without quotes. You will see bunch of Acela files.
It is really high quality and MSTS's Acela is JUNK compared to that one. It has passenger view too.
Also, when you download items like locomotives and install them, you might get error that says there are assests missing.
In that case search by keywords for the same item and see if there are any other items that are needed,
or take a look in miscellaneous section to find those missing assests.
This problem will be resolved in near future when downloads become avaiable in whole packeges.Georgi

RE: Trainz SP3 Service Pack CD.

I'll check those things out.. Oh, by the way, the case my CD came in did not have any Serial # on any part of it.. Unless it was on the cardboard mailer, which is history.. Oh well, maybe I can still get the things I need. I was able to go through parts of the download station items OK, using my previously registered numbers, so I should be OK there. I definitely want to check out that Acela.. Thanks again, and oh yes, I had also gotten some assistance from Vulcan and SuperFudd over on the Trainz forum (Auran).. Bunch of good folks on these forums.. Ron, Deland, FL

RE: Trainz SP3 Service Pack CD.

Im talking about the serial that you use when you install the game. If its in profile, write it down because you will need it when you install it again.
