Abner Cardland has released the Monon tri-level autorack car,and it looks identical to the prototype!
The Monon acquired a contract to ship autos to the southeastern U.S. during the early 60's and 70's,and this made up for passenger losses.
The Monon autoracks themselves went to the factories in Detroit and Flint and were hauled all over the southeastern U.S.,but especially to Chicago and all over the Monon line itself.
The zenith of auto revenue was in 1965 when the Monon hauled over 251,000 tons of Detroit "steel" to points south.
This model is a welcome addition to anybodies' train collection,(mid sixties and Midwest in particular!)
