Well I think I'm done and satisfied with the Horizons I've been reskining. I have sent an email to see about possibly releasing these. You'll probably notice right away that none of the cars have any Amtrak markings. Well unfortunately the way the cars are textured, any lettering gets distorted and elongated. So while I was able to kind of do car numbers, the Amtrak lettering was just too blurry for my satisfaction. But I have seen several horizons without lettering so it's not a huge deal.I know that NALW will eventually release a set of their own, but I'm hoping these can act as a "stand in" until the real cars are released. I have sent an email, but I'm not exactly sure just who to send it to. If anyone knows who at NALW deals with potential reskins please let me know. Here are the horizons I've reskined: Matt "The Amtrak Switcher"
If, and thats a big if. If you can release them, they will go great into making the smaller trainsets I see around Chicago like the Illinois Zephyer, Hiawatha sets, and the Wolverine.
Dont get your hopes up, nalw usually wont give permission to release something they will be doing. usually.Kevin V. -President/CEO of Illinois Northern Ry Inc, subsidiary of The Midwest Regional Railways Corp.Illinois Railway Museum Conductor Trainee
