well, we all know that we have had some excelent engines so far this year, in 2004, esepcially a lot of events. In your opinion, who do you think will make another good or nice locomotive. Oh yes, and a happy christmas to those in the forums. also a VERY happy new year.Best loco's that have been made. What do you think will – image 1 Best loco's that have been made. Keith over @ NALW has an SD70Mac due out soon or so I hope . both standard radiator and flared in all the phototype paint schemes . The new motive power that will be offered with Dundas . Anything that will be released from Streamlines . Deckosofts MP pack . I know I'm forgetting a lot of really great modelers out there . Don't mean to , but these are the few I know of that I will be aquiring as they are released . They are all equally good , and will make very nice additions to my roster . PS : The old MLT's UP pack that was offered at one time . I can only hope it will again be offered .

Don't forget Scott and crew over at Diesels West. Their stuff just keeps getting better and better - and now that they're branching out from the older GE into other areas - Wow!!Larry Steiner

I don't suffer from insanity; I enjoy every minute of it!

I want to nominate CN Dash 9-44CW & Dash 9-44CWL that come in 3 versions: empty/crew/one crewman and are found in this file library.Sorry, don't remeber who made them, but the model rocks!

Personally I think that banner is WAY over the size limit. I'm not trying to be the forum police, but it's very annoying to scroll through posts with that.

I really don't like these threads, but to name a few,
Sean Lim's AS-616, NALW FEF, Canadian Pacific F2A 4-4-4 Jubilee by John Fowlis, or how about one of the BB36000 electrics? I am not trying to put down all the nice stuff by 3DTrains and MLT ect., their equipment is exquisite, but a lot of really fine work comes out of small shops that don't get the credit they deserve. The sim would really be missing something if we didn't have the niche builders that create many fine models that are only faulted by their lack of mass appeal. And how about some of the superb work of John Peterson, and Pete Willard, and Carlos Gomes, and...my fingers would get numb if I kept on listing all those fine contributors on my list!!

RE: best loco's that have been made. What do you think

Speaking of old Carlos, what happened to him? He had a BEAUTIFUL SD18 coming and it's like he evaporated. I hope that isn't one more dead project because I was really looking foreward to that one.I like Carlos's flexibility. If you wanted a railroad spesific model, he'd make it for ya. I was hoping he could edit the SD18 coming out so it would have standard EMD flexicoil trucks that were typical on the SD9s and 7s. My friend on the forums SuperbirdVH was going to repaint it into a B&LE livery. If anyone knows where he is, tell him to send me an E-mail at train_chaser@msn.com . Thanks for the help,Jon Jon
