I recently repainted a GP38 to my own fictional railroad scheme. I used Picture It v10 to convert my taga files to a bit file, then edited with paintbrush. Then converted everything back. The problem that I now have is my wheels are square. Performance is not affected, it operates normally, but just looks funny. Did I do something wrong? Thanks for the help.
Bro dont sweat it I had the same problem with some winsheild wippers. All you need is to save the ACE with the Alpha channel.Pentium 4 / 2.4GHz HT O/C @ 2.755GHz w 920FSB Copperchill CPU Cooling Unit ASUS AI P4P800 SE Ultra 1024 MB PC400 DDR Dual Channel w Heat Spreaders Nvidia GeForce 6800GT 2x WDC / 80 & 60GB Norcent 52X CD-RW Pacific Digital 16X DVD Integrated Gigabit Ethernet Adapter Antec TruePower 430 Watt Power Supply Antec Sonata Case Xerox - 17" LCD XG-70D Dynex 975AVR UPS OS / XP-Pro (SP2)
I think his problem occured even before he went to save the ace file. Converting a TGA to a bitmap file eliminates the alpha channel altogether. You'll need to work with the file as a TGA or other format that retains the alpha info and then save it as a TGA with alpha for conversion to an ace file. I'm not sure if Picture It can do that, don't know that program.
