Decided to purchase the Maple leaf tracks SP heritage 2 pack. I'm spending more time with the cam view #4 and #2 just admiring their quality work. Microsoft or Kuju should have hired Danny Beck & MLT to do MSTS! Of course I tweaked this SD45 to represent the second SPSF merger scheme. PS - When is the Santa Fe pack available?
RE: MLT + SP - It's a beautiful thing.............
Wow that's quite a compliment! Thanks for the kind words. You should've made it with the white SP letters... I always liked that one. =|GoldenPig visit me at www.dannybeck.com www.mapleleaftracks.com

Yeah the white was brite! What about that Santa Fe pack? Have you thought about the SD45-2 and the SF30C?? I'm looking forward to the pack either way. Also - How about a "clean" SP Kodachrome < that's an oxymoron - "clean SP". Keep up the good work! Dennis

HOLY CRAP DENNIS! You took those pics? That second to last image with all the kodachromes in a row is friggin amazing! Those really take me back. About the only clean kodachrome I had ever really seen was when the SP repaint GP35e's rolled into town. 6304, 6322, 6354, 6356, and 6361. Even got pictures of me in 6304 at age 16. I will do a counterpart to the SF loco collection in the kodachromes... SP and SF my two favorites. =|GoldenPig visit me at www.dannybeck.com www.mapleleaftracks.com

>HOLY CRAP DENNIS! You took those pics? That's the same thing I was thinking when I saw them. Unfortunately, since I live in the Northeast, I've only photographed three Southern Pacific units in my life (an unpatched AC4400CW, A Patched SSW GP60, and a Patch SP SD40M-2). But SP is still my favorite railroad.

I wish I would have taken more shots of those Kodachromes - I was only 14 and they were taken with my first 35mm camera a Nikon FG. They were taken the weekend after the ICC denied the merger. A friend of my Dad suggested we go to Sacramento because that scheme was going to disappear. The GP35 was a rare sighting - must have all been in So.Cal - The main switching power where I live was the GP9. The Gray/Red photo is from Sacramento in 1982 - crappy quality taken with a 110. The GP40X is me - That's when they would motion to you to come on up. Times have surely changed.Dennis
