I have downloaded and installed rg_tunp.zip which is a set of 4 DRGW SD40T-2's. I have also downloaded and installed DRGW_LN.ZIP, COMCAB.ZIP and CABSIGUD.ZIP. I place unit number 5347 at the lead of a consist and the cab view I see is shown below in the first picture. When I depress the Shift Key and Key 1 to hide the cab view I get what you see in the second picture. Anybody know what might be wrong?
The same thing happened to me. I'm assuming it has to do with an issue in the placement of the cab view. What I did was just use the cab that was included with the original SD40T-2 kit and that looked and worked fine. Unfortunately that cab view isn't quite the same, but it works.Justin Leong
I think I can explain this. Usually, when in #1 cab view, the locomotive shape is hidden. When you see the nose of the locomotive it is drawn into the cabview. Now, this one is different. Dick's Tunnel Motors consist of two shape files, the "main" shape and an additionally attached shape. The attached shape doesn't disappear when in #1 view. The good thing is that you can see the nose and other details without having to draw them. The bad thing is that it won't disappear when you take out the cab. If you want you can place the #1 view in front of the locomotive, the cabview has a drawn nose anyway so it shouldn't be a problem.Hope this helps.------------------------------ Jan
Yep, that's the problem. The other "problem" is that by using a separate cabview than Dick's, you get two cabviews. Look in your first posted pic--there are two sets of handrails in it (one of which doesn't connect to anything). On Dick's models, the nose of the locomotive is already created on the cabview in 3D, so you don't need it in 2D on the cabview .ace file.
I guess I am still a little in the dark. I thought I followed the directions in each of the installs to a "T". As an aside, there is something wierd going on with all of these locomotives. Even if the engine is not the lead unit in a consist, when the lights of the lead consist are turned on the lights of these units get turned on.
Go to the cabview folder and change the position in the .cvf file from Position ( 1.5 3.7 4 )to Position ( 1.5 3.7 9 ).This will move the cabview forward and correct this problem.Look for this position line near the start of the .cvf file. It's the first position line.
