Here's some shots of the "weathered" CSX sd70's.Sorry i didn't include them with the clean versions. Also the CSX sd70's now in the file library are "aliased" to the SP horn.I will eventually upload a CSX horn, along with new engine files for all the CSX sd70's.Time for a break, then onto my bridge re-skinning project. These are the last sd70's i will be painting(wipes brow)Hope ya liked em'?

RE: CSX sd70's...weathered

Hi Scott, you said..."Share any trade secrets ??? Sure,First of all i create a new transparent layer to the bitmap, then adjust the properties to 20% to 30%.I use the "spraycan",and the "paint brush"and adjust the opacity(40%),density(50%),hardness(45%)size(80%),and use about 5 different shades of "brown",and 2 shades of gray, using the "freehand" tool,i trace the area that i'm working with and paint it,then periodically adjust the "properties" to get a light dusting effect(don't lose me now),once i'm satisfied with the look of the weathering,i then go to the "edit" button on the task bar, then "copy" the layer, save it,and now i can apply the same weathered layer to the other 4 same bitmaps(CSX sd70's).Once those are completed,i then and add a little more weathering using the same opacity level and technique to the other bitmaps, but this time slighty varying the colors of the paintbrush, and spray can.The bmp's i have to up the opacity level to match the tga files, cause for some reason they're darker than the bmp's?Hope this helps? It'd be easier to show ya,then try and explain it
