I have been figuring out and working with The Gimp and came up with this.... ...And the end... What'cha think???? I know that Rio Grande didn't have any 3 bay hoppers in this paint scheme but with such a great model from MLT to work with I couldn't resist. I still need to add the speed lettered "Rio Grande The Action Road" on the right side and possably tone down the Orange a bit and of coarse add some dirt and grime. Constructive Critisism is very welcome!!! Also if anyone can find or has some photos of the proto-type please let me know!Steven

And this next comment>Also if anyone can find or has some photos of the >proto-type please let me know! A contradiction in sentences How does one find a prototype photo of a unit you say Rio Grande didn't have !!Looks great BTW !!Later
Here is the real deal... (pictures from fallenflags.org)Seems a bit bright for me. As far as I know DRGW just had the four bay version. Close enough for MSTS.

I think it's too bright (may be just my screen and/or your jpg file.) FWIW, John Peterson created 4 bay ACF hoppers, so maybe your skin would go better with his model (which is also a nice one, IMO).
>That model REALLY looks like Maple Leaf Tracks. "I know that Rio Grande didn't have any 3 bay hoppers in this paint scheme but with such a great model from MLT"Gee what was your first clue?Do people ever read/think before posting around here anymore?Bradley Linda Waco, Texas
Hey all, Thanks for the comments and the photos. I ment to specify that Rio Grande had the 4 bay version!!! LOL ohh well. I am painting this off an N scale model of the hopper. Sometimes these scale models lack certin details that are too small or don't work with the model they have so seeing the real thing helps a whole lot!!Thanks again,Steven

I think it looks pretty good, even if the real one didn't have 3 bays, it's a good enough stand-in, on a great quality model. Bradley Linda Waco, Texas
