RE: What do you want to see?

Now that you've asked, for what it's worth here's my 2-cents:1. A set of late-model, generic heavyweight pullman cars, the one's with air conditioning (from the late 30's, early 40s) vice the older celestry roof types, painted in generic Pullman Green (sort of a dark olive) with interiors and with no particular road names, so they can be used on any road, pulled by either steam or the early diesel locos. Basic set should comprise Baggage, RPO, Coach, Sleeper, Diner, Observation, and possibly a lounge or parlor car. Anyone out there with the skills and interest to take on this task? Many train simmers would be eternally gratefull!!!2. Vanderbuilt tenders, both oil (SP) and coal (B&O/C&O). The only one avail was done a couple years ago and leaves a whole lot to be desired. 3. Wish someone with the skills would re-visit some of the earlier steam engine offerings like the Pacific and either make up a new one or bring the old one up to date. It's pretty crude. 4. A 2-10-2 would also be nice to have for those of us who like the western roads during the late-steam, early-diesel era. (SP & ATSF had a lot of them). Understand an SP Cab-Forward is in the works at 3DTrainStuff. That will be a great addition to the steam stables when it's released! 5. I'd like to see some engine crews too, or at least and engineer figure in the cab. Would it be that hard to add an engineer? 6. A generic E-7 or E-9 night cab. A step-by-step tutorial on creating night cabs would be a nice addition to the tutorial list, too. Well hell, that's enough for now. I'm sure you'll get an interesting collection of responses. Thanks for asking!!!

RE: What do you want to see?

I would like to see more flatcar loads.....farm machinery on flats....even better flats. I hate asking.....because of the problems it causes in the forum. I am trying to start building models myself....rather then begging...but can`t get off the ground .......yet. First project will be trailers...the "low" ridin trailers ATSF, RI and CNJ, UPS had during the `70s and `80s....then a GATX 40` airslide. Maybe one of these days.

I live in Greenville too! Too bad to see the Bessemer go. At least there are still big 'Halloween engines' (as I call them) still running around.Jon

Anyway, I am about halfway done with a re-paint I started today, and when/if I get a license quickly, look for some more "Halloween" engines in the library this weekend hopefully.

RE: What do you want to see?

Anything and everything the Chicago Great Western had in steam!
Diesels in the CGW maroon and maroon/orange schemes.
(Not that I'm a fan or anything...)More 'flights of fancy' like the CGW maroon/orange GP60M - to suit ANY road, not just the CGW (I'm not that selfish).
For instance, what would PRR stuff have looked like it if had survived into the modern era? or the NYC, CB&Q, the Nickel Plate, the GN, SP, L&N, Katy - the possibilities are endless. The Boston and Maine, if it hadn't been recolored into that dreadful blue, but continued in the earlier livery, but modern stock?
How would passenger cars have looked if Amtrak hadn't come on the scene?
If GE hadn't effectively taken over Alco's building programme, what might have come out of there, or Baldwin, Morse, Lima????Anyone fancy trying out their imagination? That's one of the joys of simming - reality is only an option, as the likes of the PO&N have proven.
