I have downloaded several of Dick Cowen's Repainting Kits and have extracted them to a temp folder. When ever I try to open one of the .psp foils, I get a Paint Shop Pro 6 message that 'An error has occurred while trying to read from the file'.If I open the .ace file with TgaTool2, export it to the editor (PSP) and save it as a .psp file it will open at a later date.Any suggestions on what needs to be done?

Hey Sixman...I have used the SD40, SD402, and SD50 kits - the PSP files do open OK... I am using PSP 8.x... One thing I did notice is that I can't just open the PSP by double clicking on it... PSP launches but the file never comes up... If I open PSP by itself then drag and drop the PSP files they start OK... Or if I double click on that little smart cache PSP files - that launches OK - then displays all the PSP files in that specific directory...Not sure if this answers your question - but - I have experienced some quirks with opening the PSP files...Maybe it is a version thing - as you stated - you are running 6.x... Try the 8.x demo ???Thanks,
Scott

This is smewhat along the same line as I do not have PSP. I just d/l the SD40T-2/45T-2 Kit. The textures must be the PSP files in the PSP folder. Since I don't have PSP is there anyway to get the textures in .tga or .bmp form??? I really want to get a fleet of D&RGW Tunnel Motors going so any help is appreciated.Steven

Sixman,
I had PSP 6 and if I remember correctly PSP6 did not fully recognize 32 bit (24 bit color 8 bit alpha) image files too good. I upgraded to PSP7 and the problem went away.

If a product has a wall-wart, don't buy it. Force peripheral makers to find a more innovative way to power their devices, and leave wall-warts where they belong: in the waste bin of history.
