Andy,There's a Conrail artwork set in the file library that includes the Q logos. Unfortunately, you might have to enlarge them to fit your model... if you have to blow them up too much, they won't look right. However, the Conrail logo is pretty easy to paint by hand. In fact, I'm painting up Dick Cowen's SD60 as CR 6842 as we speak, and I had to do the logo by hand for it. Here's what you do:1. Find some good photo references.2. The Conrail logo is just concentric circles with the lower right (or left) quadrant cut away. Draw a circle for the outermost edge of the "can opener" (ignore the Q for the moment). Adjust the circle so it has the proper size and position on your model... pay atttention to the photos so you can see about where the logo is on the access doors. It really helps if you use a program like PSP that supports vector artwork and layers. Create a new layer to draw the logo on so you're not messing directly with the background image. This way, if you screw up, your original image isn't ruined.3. The inner edge of the outer circle is about 1/3 of the way in from the outside edge. Draw another circle centered at the same point as where the outer one is, and make sure you have a consistent width all around.4. The space between the circles is a little less than 1/3 of the width of the white stripes. Draw two more circles to define the inner and outer edges of the inner circle of the logo. Make certain the two white stripes are the same width. At this point, your drawing should resemble a "bull's eye". Always compare your work to photo references, and don't be afraid to make minor adjustments... this is what vector artwork is good for.5. Draw the inner and outer edges of the "Q" the same way. I haven't done Conrail Quality yet, so you're on your own for now about the size. It should also be centered at the same point where the circles in the "can opener" are centered.6. Use the rectangle tool to draw the two straight stripes leading away from the bottom of the "can opener".7. Once you get everything how you want it, convert your image to raster format. Select and delete unwanted parts of your logo (the lower right (or left, depending on which side of the unit your logo goes on) quadrant of the "can opener", and the part of the "Q" where the stripes pass through.8. Use the line tool to close off the edges of the logo, and flood fill that sucker with white! Also use the line tool to create the tail of the "Q"; it extends off from the logo at 45 degrees, and the bottom is straight across.9. If you used anti-aliasing when drawing your circles (and you should to make the edges appear smooth), you'll want to use the paintbrush tool to touch up where the white flood fill butts up against the circles.Congrats! You've painted a Conrail logo by hand! Now, merge the new layer with the background image, and draw in the details behind the logo in a light gray.
