Hey-
I guess I can sort of see where you are coming from...but i think its pretty close. That cream color took me about 30 min to come up with...its very hard to get it right!
Here are a couple more updated pics after my work this morning...if you have and RGB color suggestions let me know.
Look at the shot straight at the side...I think it looks pretty good, I think the lighting may be causing the pink effect but let me know!
Thanks for the feedback!

RE: BN fans will like this one....

Hi I too think that it has too much pink in it, unless its just the way its uploading. A Suggestion, when I painted my BN1 and Esecutive in HO scale, I used the paint colors that came with the decal sets and it is a very light tan. I used desert tan and lightened it with white paint. The closest I could come to a match on PSP7, by comparison was R:255 G:255 B:192. Hope this helps, otherwise its looking good. Thanks

RE: BN fans will like this one....

Here it is with new numberboards, no flags, and Marc's color....looks really good!
Does anyone out there know what the little oval emblem above the "Burl...North...." on the side of the engine says? It has some fancy script type letters in it...I still have to add the strobe lights to it and do some more work, but im very pleased thus far...
You guys think its better? Thanks for the input!

RE: BN fans will like this one....

That tan did come out better than mine did, you have it right now.
As to that oval plate you are talking about, I have the decal set for the BN-3 which has the same plate. I could not make it out with a magnifying glass, so I scaned it into my paint program and enlarged it. It has a fancy R in the center with a 6 on the right end and what looks like doodling on the left end. If you give me your email address I can email the decal set and the builder sheet to you. I would put it on here but you would not be able to see anything, too small of printing. You will have to enlarge it in your paint program, then cut and past, copy by hand or whatever.
BTW they also include the 16 business cars with the numbers and names for each car as well as a side view of the business car. Which would make it esay to pull into your 3d modeler, HINT HINT. Thanks

RE: BN fans will like this one....

Ok this is purly a guess on the oval plate. After I thought about it and from what I can see on the decal sheet. How about PRG, President Russell Grebbs. I am pretty sure that was the name of the president of Burlington Northern when they made the merger with Santa Fe. If I'm wrong, sombody correct me.
Don't forget that the handrails on the BN-1 were chrome. BN-2 & BN-3 were done in white. Also the front B on BN-1 was also chrome. Thanks

RE: BN fans will like this one....

hey-
Thanks...PRG makes a lot of sense....my email is snomandrums@sbcglobal.net and that decal sheet would be a lost of help. Thanks for the offer! I knew about the chrome emblem on the nose as well as handrails but cannot find a suitable chrome color in the paint program im using....Im still trying to figure it out. I didnt know that BN2 and BN3 had white though..very good to know, thanks for the tip!
The way its going, the BN1 and BN2 will released sometime towards next weekend. And yes, the lights on BN1 will be correct with the twin sealed beam in the nose, the mars, and the two strobe lights. Thanks,

Ok I sent the decal sheets to you email, hope they made the trip, if you don't have them by the time you read this, let me know and I will try again. The first file was too large, according to my server, so I resent them in gif format, instead of bmp. Also sent a address too you where there are some pictures of the business cars. Before and after pictures. There in the passenger section here:http://archive.trainpix.com/BN/ As far as the chrome, thats over my head too, but I know that it can be done, especially with psp7, I've seen engines with chrome on them, the ESE for one, maybe mark from 3d trains can help you here.
Thanks
