Cartier AC4400CW. Photo help! – image 1

Gidday. Does anyone know where I can find photos of Quebec Cartier AC4400CW's?? I have tried Google, railroad forums, and fallen flags.com. There has been no luck at all. A Cartier AC44 would go down a treat with the new ore cars in the library. I am currently painting one, but have no photos to work off. ANY help would be GREATLY appreciated! Thanks a lot in advance! >Mike Forster<

Mike, check this link:http://www.tamr.org/Andy_Inserra/quebec_cartier_mining_railway.htmLooks like they run mostly Alcos and MLW... but judging from the pics, if you paint the cab/nose orange and the body black, you'll be okay!EDIT: Just noticed QCMI ordered 12 AC4400's... try their website at http://www.qcmines.com/pc/www_en/default.html for contact info.EDIT 2: If you look long enough... you'll find 'em!http://groups.msn.com/RTLANRT/shoebox.msnw

Hey mate, 2 quick questions.....1) Do you know what the writing is in French on the radiator wings? I looked through all those shots on the msn groups plus I tried their website. Im not after the english translation, I want to know what it is so I can add it to the loco in MSTS. 2) Any idea where to get the QC logo? I tried the website, but its a really well done 3D rendered graphic and google gives me a watch company when I ask for "Cartier", lolThanks again! >Mike Forster<

Mike, post a pic so we can have a look! Also, contact Jim Redmond thru the MSN link. Looks like he is a QCMI engineer. Maybe he can get some hi-res shots for you... the "Cartier" logo is available in decal form at http://www.mgdecals.com.BTW, how's that Ferrosur AC4400 coming?

John, thats NALW's model he is using. The reason for the grey background is because he took the screenies using the Shape File Viewer utility (Much more convenient way to check the look of skins on models than booting up the sim.) If you want a copy of SFV, there is an "anchored" thread in the MSTS forum that contains a link to a download site.Jonathan Nikiforovs.

Yeah, Shape viewer is a reskinners delight. Out of all the add on's for MSTS, I would say shape viewer is my favorite. It takes a while for my computer to load MSTS. If I just slightly change something on a skin, I dont want to have to load MSTS.Now, about the Cartier locos....Here's some shots along with my KCS locos and Ferrosur. No where near finished!! http://www.train-sim.com/dcforum/DCForumID15/2725.html>Mike Forster<

I have something for you to couple the AC4400s on to. I will be posting loaded and empty versions after the holidays. These cars are specific to Cartier. Here's an in-game pic.
