I finally decided to put one of the Ex-Conrail Dash-8CW's in the paintshop, (NALW's Model) for a coat of YN3. Paint still wet

Don't take this the wrong way, but the yellow stripe on the sidesill is to big, and the handrails along the side of the hood should only be yellow at the ends..

Thanks for the input. I had already figured out the side rails this A.M., but I don't know if I can narrow that bottom stripe, but I'll check it out.

Here is the latest with the stripe adjusted, and the body door seams changed from black to dark blue.

Now that looks better, and I forgot to say earlier how much I disliked the black hood doors :pNow, one last *thing: The CSX lettering looks alittle smushed, maybe off center, and a tad high on the hood.The last few things may be just me, and if you're working from pictures, well, you know, pictures don't lie -Jeffrey"The Line of Minimal Resistance"

The picture looks pretty close, and it doesn't look too high, so I'm going to leave it "as is". I've got to wait for NALW's permission anyway. I did go back and make the exhaust stack grey though.

Is that the yellow in Marc's list? I'm going to look...His : 245.226.34 Is that what you are using? Looks a little too "Bright." Or alteast the strip does. maybe its just faded though....(constructive critisism) YN3 Paint CSX – image 23

The colors in Marc's list are for the YN2 scheme.The blue for YN3 is darker than YN2 blue, and the yellow is deeper, more like "gold".If you have any doubts about the colors, use photos for now... I don't know how long it will be before Marc gets the information together to update the list. From what I can tell though, your colors look pretty close.

The colors were "eyedroppered" from a photo using photoshop.
