This post is a direct copy of one made in the UK, but as of yet had no response. Please help if you can. I have been teaching myself some texturing techniques and have even downloaded some “re-skinning kits” of US diesel locos by Dick Cowen. In these kits, are some images of bonnet vents etc that are to be transparently pasted over the re-textured image. All goes well (in fact I even got it all to work once the first time) except that my PSP7 now refuses to paste transparent, I am given the option, but the whole image is being copied! I have even tried creating a new test image with a transparent background, but it will not copy transparently. Does anybody have any suggestions please?

What file format are you saving your images to be pasted , PSP or TGA ? These two file formats will preserve layer transparency if you save your image as an alpha selection and then pasting into your new image.
