It's probably been asked before, but could anyone give some names where to find photograph pictures of US locs and wagons which I could use for repaint purposes? I found several sites with pictures, but most of them are taken in different angles.ThanksRob
I recommend http://railpictures.net but you may have been there. It would be helpful if you'd list the sites you have been to so we don't tell you what you already know. Most pictures are not taken with skinning in mind though.Tim Frost The Union Atlantic Railroad: Your stuff's important!
Thanks Tim, for answering so quickly. You're right, I've been to that site. I've been to www.railroadsforum.com as well. Also I visited www.somewherewest.com, www.mentalfusion.com. Pictures are beautiful, but like you said, they're not made for repainters.Rob
No problem. What are you looking for? I can obtain photos of some types of cars from the local yard leads if they have stuff sitting around... depending on what you're after they might just have it 'in stock' (generally everything but heavy-duty loads and stack/tofc cars.)Tim Frost The Union Atlantic Railroad: Your stuff's important!
It's nothing particular I'm looking for. I just learned myself to do a proper repaint. Now I have the taste of it and wanted to do some more. I used the perspective angle in PSP 8, which offers the possibility to correct the photographer's angle in a picture. BTW: What are "tofc cars"? I'm not familiair with typical railroad language.Rob
Trailer On a Flat CarTOFC. I'll see if I can grab some misc. boxcar or hooper pix while I'm out and around today. Tim Frost The Union Atlantic Railroad: Your stuff's important!
Haha... yeah I know what you mean. You should see how many pictures I came back from my railfanning trip that are shots of bogies, signs, and logos... probably a good 100 out of 1774... but all pax equipment. Tim Frost The Union Atlantic Railroad: Your stuff's important!
