Well, I finally got it tweaked so I am happy with it; This is a repaint of the High Detail SPS 700 steamer to represent CB&Q 4960. I remember this steamer from my youth as it was used to haul excursion trains before it was mothballed. It will be uploaded tonite to the library. Kudos go out to all who worked on this model, it's quite realistic. Hope you all enjoy the CB&Q version! Later, I may try to do the smaller switcher version. Enjoy!

RE: CB&Q Steam!

CB&Q 4960 is not a 4-8-4 Northern. It is a 2-8-2 Mikado. If you want to do a CB&Q 4-8-4 try the O5 Class 4-8-4's like 5632.Adam

I stand corrected! The 4-8-4's were in the 5600 class...am in the process of correcting that mistake as we speak...it will become the 5632 before uploading!EDIT: here's the updated version, hopefully more to your liking. It's renumbered to the 5632....let me know if I goofed anything else up If it looks OK then I will upload it, but I will wait awhile for your comments.

RE: CB&Q Steam!

Thanks Paul....Here's a tidbit I'll throw at you...remember these? They are based on the Troop Sleeper in the Library. Actually, they are Troop Kitchen cars (the Troop Sleepers had higher windows, the kitchens had narrow ones). I sealed them up like the Q did and they came out looking pretty prototypical. They look great between Bill's E8's and your Q Baggage cars..hehe

NEATO!! Makes me all warm & fuzzy.....shore do look good on that dang railroad! Will look forward to maybe putting mine to the test on your Cal-PGlad you like it.BTW: did everything unzip OK for you? Tried to make it as easy as possible. Would liked to have zipped the sound and cabview with it, but it was a tad to big to upload.

RE: CB&Q Steam!

Thanks Okrasa!
I'll try to remember to do that with the next one Glad everything else came out ok. I'm trying to make installation as simple as possible for everyone. Maybe learn someday how to use clickinstaller or something similar.

RE: CB&Q Steam!

Well, here's the Mikado I promised...it's cabview is aliased to the SPS 700. It will be uploaded tonite. This is my FIRST attempt to use the clickteam installer to make the installation easier. PLEASE backup your trainset folder before using this, it would break my heart for someone to mess their folder up because my installer didn't work right. I did try this on my trainset folder and it seemed to install OK and it showed up in the simulator. Please, again, backup before install; remember this is my 1st try at this. Also, please leave a message on this thread, or via my PM and let me know how this worked and if you would like it done this way on my future releases. I thrive on feedback (positive or negative, I appreciate the input.)
