I'm useing Paint Shop Pro 8 for my repaints and I was wondering if there was an easier way to change the color of the locomotive without haveing to repaint all the doors and shadows and etc. Thanks.
Yes, contact the original author. They may be able to give you a PSP file with all the details in separate layers. That way you could change the color without affecting the door lines, etc.If that's not possible, you are either starting over or very carfully editing the ACE file. Greetings, I generally use PSP7, but in PSP8 you should be able to change colors and leave your underlying door seams etc. in tact. Select the area you want, select your new color, using your flood tool set the blend mode to Hue at 100%, Opacity at 100% . Apply your new color to the selected area. You can adjust the new color by going to Adjust>Hue&Sat>Colorize, or just play with the other features in the Adjust section. I've attached a before and after as a sample. I am no expert but it has worked for me. KRO52
