Hey, what do you guys think about this repaint? I still gotta fix the numbers, and then they'll be ready. I will finish the MARC passenger cars too and I'd like to release them as a pack. These work well, but they will be replaced by the ones NALW is (hopefully) working on.

Did SEPTA have Comet Cab Cars? I can't seem to find a pic, and I dont know if there is a page for SEPTA on the Fallen Flags RR site. Also, the MARC passenger cars look like they've got fluted sides and different windows. Can anyone fill me in? I've just been working with pics out of an Atlas O catalog.
-MikeBTW, is that a paint glitch on the doors of the AEM7? I dont remember if it came like that, or if it was a botch-up on my part. I might be able to fix it...

How do these look??There still needs to be minor modifications made such as the NJDOT loco which is quiet poor at the moment, but I will fix that tomorrow.Any comments/Constructive criticism? There will be more than one coach number and I think the cab car and coach car share the same number, but this is only temporary!

RE: SEPTA Comet Cars

They look great! The lettering is good too. How'd you get it so sharp? Mine always comes out squished (or stretched) and fuzzy no matter how I resize it. Cool loco too!

RE: SEPTA Comet Cars

You might be able to clear up some of the fuzziness by making the textures 1024x1024. you'll still have to adjust for the stretching, but they can at least be made clearer.------ BUZZ ------

RE: SEPTA Comet Cars

Mike those EL/NJDOT comets are looking good but being from NJ I have a few constructive criticism points. The blue on that bluebird looks a little too purple and the stripes on the car are a little off. The window band on the EL Comet 1s didn't quite go all the way up to the doors but rather ended about 2 inches from it with the corners rounded and the red stripe wrapping around. Other than that I wound definitely download them when they become available. Is there any way that the doors and cab car windows can be lowered without editing the shape?KevinPS: Here is an example of how I did the stripe in tgatool.

>The blue on that bluebird looks a little too purpleYeah - 3356 is a little bit dodgy. I have made 3355 which is much more blueish. The rest of the U34CH Bluebirds I reskinned are in the blue-r scheme. Im just about to fix 3356 up.The EL/NJDOT Comet cars are being fixed as I post. Thanks a million for the points. Being 17 and from Australia, i never saw the EL/NJDOT era of it all. I did see the NJT era when U34's were in operation when i was a wee kid I dont think I am going to bother about the window height, the overall model will be incorrect if they were moved. Thanks for the points Kevin, it helps alot!! Chuck: Im just going to fix up the stripes and I shall send the Comet cars along to you tonight.>Mike Forster<

RE: SEPTA Comet Cars

The SEPTA Comet II's look decent. ^_^ They're certainly better than using Amfleets! (Which I have a feeling would be chez riche if they were ever used by SEPTA. XP)
Oh yes, and I have two little comments.EL Comet Cars:
Didn't the Erie/Lackawanna have Comet I's with low level doors on coaches?MARC Comet Cars:
Hate to break it to you guys...but the MARC cars aren't Comets. They're made by the Japanese company Nippon Sharyo. To build them properly would require two ENTIRELY new models! (coach and cab car)

"MARC Comet Cars:

(coach and cab car)"I knew MARC does not have comet cars, but it is better than no MARC at all, and it is the closest thing to them with out making a new model.

But the Comet models are the closest we have at the moment...

O_O;; Oh...sorry about that; just stating the (apparantly overly-obvious) facts... ^_^;;
And while I won't rule out doing a car eventually, for the time being, my modelling skills aren't QUITE up to par... Besides, I don't have any diagrams for MARC's cars. -_-;;HOWEVER, I am working on a little something that might be able to make your NEC look better and more accurate! ...And hopefully, it won't send your framerate down the toilet... ^_^;;Anyway, the little lovely that I'm working on, considering my lack of good references and the fact that it has as many frickin' variations as apple pie, will slow it down, but NEC lovers should hopefully love it when I get it done! ~_^
