Hello!I have just finieshed my darktransparent windows om my X2000-repaint.
But, i noticed that the texture quality is like, 256-bit! I saved the texture in 32-bit TGA in Photoshop 7.0 and made an ace-file with the MakeAceWin v 1.04 program!I don't have this problem with 24-bit, but then the darktransparent windows won't work. Thanks in advance!Best regards,
Pierre

Okey, but how to fix it? Do you say that it's better to use Trans-textures than alpha textures? How do i do that then?(I'm just 14 years old from Sweden, so my English isn't the best)Can MakeAceWin handle Trans-textures?
If yes, how to export in "Trans-textures-mode?"

Well, the uses of "trans" are limited and may not work in your case. To attempt to correct for the reduced color depth, you will need to be careful with the the total "NUMBER" of colors used in your texture. I have also noted that you need to try and limit the use of black (below rgb value of 32,32,32 and white value 224,224,224). In my own experience, using extreme white and extreme black accentuates the blotchy effect of weathering.
Edited for spelling... I recommend everyone get a copy of IESPELL.

RE: Texture quality problem

Well, I got a giggle out of it. As soon as he responded to your message saying he was from Sweden, that was the first thing I thought of, a lot of people don't know that English is a second language for guys like you and Dick van den Hoven, since you both communicate in English better than some native English speakers! Your first name still sounds Japanese to me, but "Ghia" I would guess means something in one of the Germanic languages, going by the Volkswagen Karmen Ghia that was popular here in the USA back in the 60s. My last name, "Ward", was originally spelled "Warde", meaning a Sentinel, Norman influence "Guarde". The meaning changed from "one who protects" to "something that is protected" over the years, hence hospital wards, ward of the state, and so forth.I have tried to learn some Spanish over the years since we have a large Spanish speaking population here, I kind of wonder how many of us Yanks would even be on the internet if we had to learn another language.
