Marc:Was fiddlin' with my California Zephyr set I got from you a while back and I was very impressed with the attention to detail. I had only one problem, though, being the stickler for realism I am...On the nose of both A units, the Burlington emblem just didn't look right...it looked like the older emblem Burlington used with it's Pioneer Zephyrs and such...so, I took matters in hand I tried my talents on correcting the nose emblem and the outcome is shown below. It really looks extremely close to the emblems that should be on these units...If you like them and want to use them, let me know and I can email the a1main and a2main.ace files that I modified. I don't usually modify other people's sets without permission, but this one will remain in my collection and given to no one else. If you want to use them in your payware, it is OK with me. Either way, let me know what you think. btw: keep up the great work, and don't forget us Burlington fans out there. <g>

Marc,
Looks to me like he is refering to the width of the red border around the black box containing "Burlington Route"

Bingo!...crstagg hit it squarely on the head...I should have made it a little more clearer...The red border is what I was referring to; it is pretty thin, which is how Burlington used it with it's Pioneer Zephyrs and related clan. On the F and E units, however, the border was widened, it shows it in your picture, actually, and what I did was to insert a wider version of the emblem to make the border the width it really was. Probably just me, but I felt the thinner border emblem just threw the looks of the units off a little. Seems like the new emblem gives it a little more spiffiness(wow, I haven't used that word for a long time <g>). Anyway, let me know what you think.

Marc:
I've noticed it too...however, it still looks like the border is too thin. The one I put on it, however, stays pretty much in perspective no matter what angle I view it at. Just thought you might like to know about the emblem; didn't mean to critique your model, it is the best looking F3 I have had the privilege to own. As I said before, I'm just a stickler for realism, when possible, and the emblem I used seemed to be more prototypical. Anyway, I would be more than happy to send the a1 & a2main.ace files to you via email if you want to experiment with them. Just let me know. Later, Marc!
