Amtrak F40 Renumbers

I was wondering if anyone wants or is doing some renumbers of the Amtrak F40's from NALW? I asked this because I am getting tired of using # 306 & 309 for all my consists with F40's on the Point.Chris

Not that I know how to do it, but I'd certainly appreciate anyone who renumbered the F40PH with some additional examples. It gets kind of hard to explain why I've got multiple examples of #306 when running around. Of course, I think I read here something about the 'road only using 2 of the things together at most, for the most part. That might have something to do with it. Anyways.

If I'm not mistaken there are other numbers in the library.Do a search under amtrak.

There is one other number.The #277 plus the updates.Do a search of Amtrak and you'll find it.Hope this helps.

None of those are of our Units....
For some reason or other the other units look funny next to ours, or conversely ours looks funny next to them.

Chuck,I can take a list of renumbers if you like and do them all upWeather a bunch of units. ( From dirty to REALLY dirty )That way Chuck your not getting 400 e-mails for renumbers.While you guys are busy with upcoming packs, I can deal with these much smaller issues.If you want re-numbers . Not that I have any ties to these, but 280 and 362 are pictured in a book I've got, so if you've nothing to do...Phase I or Virginia Railway Express livery would be appreciated, if at all possible. Thanks for the renumbers, no matter what the end result is.

Well, you still could pop out a couple of numbers and some weathering! None of the units i'm working on are actually using the exact same body as 309 and 306 (well, not in Phase III paint anyway...). For example, notice the different horns and underbody arrangement on 216...------ BUZZ ------

I'm pretty sure that no F40s were delivered in Phase I paint. They were either in Phase II or III paint for most of their operational lives, the exceptions being the few that were repainted into Phase IV and the one in Amtrak West livery.
I think that the only Amtrak diesels painted in Phase I were the F-units (not FL9s), E-units, and SDP40Fs.
