Hey Dan,Little OT, but if I remember correctly about reading something in the yard office today the RBB&B circus train is in Wichita in mid August. Wouldn't this be the first circus back to the Kansas Col. in several years now?Austin Professional Foamer for BNSF http://milwmsts.netfirms.com/

Hey Austin, The RBB&B skipped the Wichita stop in 2002 and I think in 2001 as well. I hadn't heard if they intended to play in Wichita for 2003, but I know somebody over at the Coliseum and can find out. If they approximate the previous years schedule, Wichita is the last weekend in August. The train arrives Thursday mid-day, unloads that evening, plays Friday-Saturday-Sunday thru mid-day, and departs again after dark on Sunday. Incidentally, the BNSF point for unloading the Circus is at Valley Center KS, and the last few years the passenger cars were moved to Newton while the show was playing. Several of the RBB&B pictures in that old thread were mine, taken at Valley Center in 1996 and 1997. Dan

Hey Austin, The RBB&B circus has scheduled shows in Wichita from 7PM Thursday, August 21 through 1 PM Sunday August 24. Circus Website is at http://www.ringling.com Sorry, there are only a few photos of the circus train at this web site. However, one of the pages on the website has some history of the Circus Train operations. http://www.ringling.com/explore/history/legend/trains.asp One of the pages on the George Elwood 'Fallen Flags' site has quite a few photos of the RBB&B rail operations, collected on the same page as the "Royal American" shows. http://www.rr-fallenflags.org/ras/ras.html Dan
