RE: PSP Error Message

Hi!
Sounds like you are saving from a PSP file format as a TGA?
Yes this is perfectly normal, you're doing nothing wrong. It's just saying it's going to squish all your layers into one.
Now do you like that message box popping up?
Sure, everybody does!
Go to File menu
select Preferences, then General Program Preferences
select the Warnings tab,
Uncheck File Format Limitations, and while you're at it uncheck Operations requiring image to be flattened or merged.
No more PSP Error Message!

PSP Error Message – image 2

Recap: Since I can never shutup... I realize it's implied by the previous statement but the PSP program *does* allow you to work with many raster layers at once regardless of the format you will be saving your file to. The TGA format doesn't support the saving of multiple layers within the file, however. You are being warned that the program is about to MERGE (flatten) all of your working layers before saving to make it compatible with the TGA format. This means that once you exit this editing session your ability to work with the current set of layers indivisually is gone unless you also use the option to "save a copy as" and save it to a PSP format, for example. So either that was the "Paul Harvey" on that "message" you get or it was some more verbal spewing by the spewmeister.
