Hey gang Someone posted a question regarding the 1973 made for TV movie Runaway! and some one posted a pic of the silver & red Sierra Pacfic "hero" loco and instantly thought skin project. So I've been trying to locate pictures of both the "regular" Sierra Pacfic (basicly standard DRG&W livery with the Si Pac logos) and more pics of the "hero" loco can any one point me in a direction to find any pics of these locos as all my web searches come up with plenty of textual data on the film(currently unavalable on video or DVD unfortunatly)but no pics. Thanks in advanceGary S

I came up with the one photo, already posted, of Rio Grande #3081 (GP40) repainted as silver 'Sierra Pacific' from my personal collection. Sorry, but I don't seem to have photos of the engines painted in the black 'Sierra Pacific'. The two engines repainted as 'Sierra Pacific' in black seem to have been #3011 (GP30) and #3032 (GP35). I recall, from seeing the movie once thirty years ago, that the black engines were essentially just the same 'Sierra Pacific' logo, in orange lettering, imposed over regular Rio Grande paint. I have not been able to find the movie on Video or DVD, and I've looked pretty hard. I don't think it was ever released on video. It was also shown in the UK under the title 'The Frozen Passage' and I haven't been able to find a video under that title either. Dan
Dan Thanks, I think the last time I saw the film was about 15 20 years ago but have a standing request with my dad that if the flick shows up on Action or AMC to toss in a tape(same request for High and the Mighty with the Duke) but unless I hear different I'll go with the 30,35 & 40 as the Si Pac locos. Got a few other irons in the fire but once those are done I'll probably crank out some Sierra Pacfic locos and rolling stockGary S
