Can any help in diagnosing why this consist has all the car separated and not coupled + why the red light is not centered probably on the last box car. Thanks in advance. Michael

RE: Separation in defaults

Actually, it's not a bounding box issue. Cars which begin an MSTS session coupled can have the BBs overlap. The real problem the car length in the .wag file is too long. If you want to see the bounding boxes in the game though, hold down CRTL and press the numpad + key.Jonathan Nikiforovs.

RE: Separation in defaults

Michael,as Jonathan states correctly in my opinion, something went wrong with the car dimensions in the .wag file. The funny thing about it is that I think I have one or more of the cars your screenshot displays, and they do not have this problem with me. Did you per chance change anything in the size-line of the cars in question, either directly in the .wag file when opened in WordPad (and only WordPad, as the document needs to be safed correctly in Unicode format afterwards, or you'll be in deep error messages trouble with your MSTS!), or by using an utility such as the bounding box editor or engmod, which also lets you manually change these values, which you did perhaps without noticing while trying to shoot some other troubling issue?A typical line from a 50ft boxcar should read something like:Size ( 3m 3m 17.94m )with the first parameter being the width, the second being the height, and the third being the length of the car. To get them together correctly, you'll perhaps have to experiment a bit until you have the correct figure for your cars.Hope that helps? Lukas a.k.a Swissie

RE: Separation in defaults

Hi Michael:The red light is not centered because the coordinates specifying the location for the light are not correct. If you find a car with the light in the right place, and open the wag file to look at the coordinates for the light position, you will have a good idea about how to change the coordinates in your wag file. Here is a sample (note the line that says "position"):Light (

Type ( 0 )

Headlight ( 3 )

FadeIn ( 0.5 )

Azimuth ( -180 -180 -180 )
